Escuela
Caracol, the first Waldorf school in Guatemala, and the
largest Waldorf school in Central America, is seeking
a Spanish-speaking grades teacher. Previous Waldorf experience
is desired, as well as Waldorf training. In the heart
of the western highlands, the school is located on the
shores of Lake Atitlán, which is ringed by three
volcanoes. The town is a small Mayan community where indigenous
culture is strong. One can walk everywhere, and no car
needed to live in this area. It is the land of "eternal
spring" -- never too hot, never too cold. Most of
the students are from Mayan families, but there are also
internationals from all over the world, making for an
interesting combination culture and consciousness.
